How to Make a Proposal
This guide helps owners prepare clear proposals for community consideration. Confirm the current submission requirements, deadlines, and designated contact with the Board or Administration before submitting.
Identify what you want to change
Give your proposal a descriptive title. Identify the relevant bylaw articles and clauses, and explain the issue you want to address.
Provide the exact wording
For a bylaw amendment, copy the current wording and provide the exact replacement text. Clearly identify any additions or deletions.
Explain the reason and impact
Describe the intended benefit, likely costs, who would implement the change, and when it should take effect. Identify other articles that may also need updating.
Identify the sponsors
List the sponsoring owners and their lot numbers. Confirm the current sponsorship requirement before submission.
Submit for consideration
Use the submission channel and deadline announced by the Board or Administration. Request confirmation of receipt and information about the next steps.
Track the outcome
Pending proposals appear under Proposed Amendments. Completed proposals and supporting decision records are retained in the Amendment Archive.
Preparing or submitting a proposal does not change the bylaws. Any change must complete the applicable approval and effective-date requirements.
